Kirsten Bock studied law in Kiel and Guildford, UK, specialising in legal philosophy and legal logic. She works as a senior consultant for data protection law at the German Data Protection Foundation and has many years of experience working for a supervisory authorities and in working groups of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB). Since 2022, she has been an advisor to the Science and Innovation Advisory Council of the Federal Government on the modernisation of registers. She conducts research and publishes on ethical and social issues of digitisation, and the Standard Data Protection Model (SDM) of the German DSK.
