Ramya Chandrasekhar is a lawyer and researcher. She is working on the Open Data Ecosystem (ODECO) Project – a 4-year Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network initiative. Her focus areas are legal and governance mechanisms for open non-government data. In the past, Ramya has worked with the Berkeley Centre for Law and Technology, Data Justice Lab, and the Internet Democracy Project. She has also consulted for the World Bank and UNICEF on data protection and data governance. Ramya holds a Masters of Law from New York University and a Bachelors of Law and Social Science from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences.
