Vice-President of the CNIL, Anne Debet is Professor of Private Law at the Université Paris Cité (Paris Descartes). At the CNIL, she is in charge of European affairs (representing the authority within the EDPB, in particular) and new compliance tools. From 2019 to 2023, she was a member of the CNIL's restricted panel responsible for imposing sanctions. She has written numerous legal articles in the field of data protection and, in collaboration with other authors, has published a treatise on data protection issues. She is a specialist in digital law and fundamental rights.
