Harry Halpin is an Advanced Researcher at Inria de Paris, where he works on privacy, big data, and security. He is project co-ordinator of the European Commission project NEXTLEAP and commercialization lead for PANORAMIX, and also a visiting Senior Research Scientist at the Socio-technical Systems Research Center at MIT. As the inventor of the NYM protocol, he is chairman of the scientific board of the new mixnet startup Nym Technologies. He received his Ph.D. in Informatics from the University of Edinburgh under the philosopher Andy Clark.
