Karolina is the Digital Civic Space Advisor at the European Center for Not-for-Profit Law, based in The Netherlands. She is a human rights lawyer specialised in the impact of new and emerging technologies on civic freedoms. She leads ECNL's work on digital rights in the EU, notably with respect to ECNL's advocacy on the EU Artificial Intelligence Act and Digital Services Act. She is responsible for building partnerships with diverse stakeholders in the digital rights field and represents ECNL at the European Digital Rights Initiative based in Brussels. Before joining ECNL, she worked as a lawyer and EU policy analyst at Warsaw-based Panoptykon Foundation and conducted research into privacy-friendly advertising models as a Mozilla EU Tech Policy Fellow.
