Guillermo Lazcoz is a legal researcher at the CIBER of Rare Diseases (CIBERER/IISFJD) and a member of the Research Ethics Committee of the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII). PhD in Human Rights, Public Authorities and the European Union: Public and Private Law, University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). His doctoral thesis focused on the human oversight of automated decision-making based on profiling. And he is currently working on data protection law for genetic data sharing and other areas of biomedical research in the IMPaCT-Genomica programme.
