Dr Nora Ni Loideain is Senior Lecturer and Director of the Information Law & Policy Centre, Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London. Her research concerns EU law and European human rights law, particularly privacy and data protection. She holds BA, LLB, LLM degrees (National University of Ireland, Galway) and a PhD in law (University of Cambridge). In 2019, she was appointed to the UK Home Office Biometrics and Forensics Ethics Group which provides independent advice on biometrics governance for public security. She is Editor-in-Chief of International Data Privacy Law (Oxford University Press). Previously, Nora was a Policy Officer for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions of Ireland and clerked for the Irish Supreme Court.
