Andrea Renda Senior Research Fellow and Head of Global Governance, Regulation, Innovation and the Digital Economy at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS). From September 2017, he holds the Chair for Digital Innovation at the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium). He is a non-resident fellow at Duke University's Kenan Institute for Ethics. An expert in technology policy and better regulation, he is a member of the ESIR (Economic and Social Impacts of Research) expert group of the European Commission; a member of the EU Blockchain Observatory and Forum; and a Member of the EU Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Law and Economics awarded by the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
