Spyros Syrrakos is a PhD candidate in Law at the London School of Economics (LSE). His main research interests concern the entanglements between law, regulation and technology and the effective protection of fundamental rights in the digital sphere, as well as EU law more broadly. His PhD research critically examines the relationship between data protection law and the principle of proportionality. Spyros is a qualified lawyer in Greece, with previous experience in digital policy at the European Commission in Luxembourg and Brussels.
