Svetlana Yakovleva is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Information Law (IViR) of the University of Amsterdam. She also works part-time as a Senior Legal Adviser in Privacy, Data and Cybersecurity practice at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in their Amsterdam office) and serves on the Editorial Board of the journal Legal Issues of Economic Integration. Her research cut across different areas of law, such as privacy and data protection, European law, international trade law, antitrust, consumer and cybersecurity law, with a particular focus on data governance. Svetlana's PhD dissertation combined the very different perspectives of international trade and EU data protection law and applied them together to cross-border data flows.
