Georgios Yannopoulos, is Associate Professor teaching Legal Informatics (School of Law, Univ. of Athens). Since 2015 he directs the Laboratory of Law and Informatics. Georgios has studied law (LLB, Univ. of Athens) and has a PhD (Univ. of London), where he has also taught and conducted post-doctoral research. In addition, he has professional qualifications in computer programming and system analysis. He is a qualified Lawyer (Athens Bar Association). Research interests include: the interaction of law with IT, Internet Law and Regulation, Legal Information Systems, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, Electronic Signatures, Secrecy of Communications and Protection of Intellectual Property. Georgios has published 4 monographs and numerous articles.
