Nena is an experienced data protection professional in various data privacy laws, risk management, BCRs, and AI / data analytics. She has worked for 6+ years assessing, implementing, and monitoring global data protection frameworks (incl. BCRs) at consultancy firms (i.e. Cranium, EY and BCG X) and the Dutch Data Protection Authority. As a Coordinator and Senior Inspector at the Dutch DPA, she assessed BCRs of multinationals which are recognized leaders in AI and data analytics solutions. At BCG X, she was responsible for inhouse support and risk management and assisted engineers and analysts with GDPR compliance, as well as preparations for the AI Act. Currently, she acts as a Board Member Privacy Engineering at the IAPP, and is in the EDPB's pool of experts.
