Beatriz is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Law at the University of Sussex. She is a Research Fellow in Law & Regulation at UCL’s Digital Speech Lab and a Research Associate at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. Trained as a lawyer and as a social scientist, she holds a PhD in Economic Law and an MSc in Social Sciences of the Internet. Her research is on law, technology and regulation, with a current focus on the regulation of social media platforms and the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on information environments.
