Dr. Rūta Liepiņa is a research fellow at the ALMA-AI Bologna interdisciplinary research centre for AI and Law. She obtained a PhD from the European University Institute (2020) on work about logic models of causality and evidence in law. She was an Assistant Professor in Digital Legal Studies at Maastricht University (2019-2022). Her work focuses on the application of AI methods for legal analytics and formal models of legal reasoning.
